Alabama Fizz

2oz gin 1½oz lemon juice ½oz sugar syrup Shake, strain, top up with soda water.

I'm not sure where Alabama fits in, exactly - this is just a gin fizz without the egg white. Do Alabamians have a particular dislike of eggs? Is salmonella rampant in the Deep South? Regardless, this is delicious. Crisp, refreshing, perfect balance of sweet and sour, and enough booze to keep you honest. Perfect sunny day drink.
