Absinthe Sour

  • 1¼oz Pernod
  • 1oz simple syrup
  • 1oz lemon juice
  • 1oz egg white
Shake, strain.


This drink is a liar. Being green and tasting like anise (hehe, anise) does not make you absinthe. It's surprisingly ok, though. Tempered anise, if you will. Reminiscent of melted candy, but without the cloying sweetness.

  1. i thought i had a good bar, but you're ever listing something i dont have - guess my role is to say what things sound like they would taste like without tasting them, which is to say this sounds awful, and i like absinthe

    1. Dude, this is an expensive project, do not undertake for anything less than a 7. My only hope is that there will be more than one cocktail that uses goddamn Pernod.
