Adam and Eve

  • ½oz sugar syrup
  • 4 dashes Angostura
  • 3oz soda water
  • 2oz bourbon
  • ¼oz Galliano
Stir first three ingredients with ice,
add bourbon and then float Galliano
over all.

Why is it that all obscure Mediterranean liqueurs have to taste like anise? And even if that's your thing, what would compel you to mix it with bourbon? And even if that might be interesting, why would you float a minuscule amount on the top of your drink? The first mouthful is all licorice, and then you're just left with a watery waste of what could have been an Old Fashioned. Thank you, no.
