At first blush, this seems like just a fancy vodka & soda, but that little touch of fanciness is suprisingly effective. The lime juice and the sugar neatly overwhelm the otherwise unspeakable tang of soda water, while at the same time the bubbles from the soda give everything that effervescent punch that hits all the right psychological triggers of refreshment. Delicious.
